James Himsworth III is a painter of fine art, portraiture and illustration working in a realist tradition. He received his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art. His continued education includes portraiture and figure painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and later with Nelson Shanks at the University of the Arts, The Baum School and Incamminati, the Nelson Shanks school for realistic painting studies. He has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including First Place at the American Society of Portrait Artists International Competition in New York. |
