The Basil on the Red Square in Moscow has been constructed in honour for the victory over the Kazan tatars.
The construction lasted six years from 1555 until 1561. The height of the Basil is 65 meters. Eight smaller churches have been constructed around the main church. This is the way the majestic ensemble with richly decorated frescos finally has turned out. |
